Guided Research

How it Works

If you wish to do more intensive research and want one-on-one guidance, you can work with Vivek to construct an Independent Study programme for a duration of 3 months. The most difficult task in research is to come up with a well-defined problem of your own. The work we do together will be geared toward helping you find your own research problems. As an aid toward that we could work together on relevant thinkers and texts (for example, Wittgenstein or Foucault; The Gita or Vacanas) or areas (for example, problems in Political Theory; Indian ethics; practical epistemology). Another important but difficult part of research is writing scholarly essays. The guidance will focus on enabling you to write, clearly, analytically and persuasively.

Pre-Requisites

Ideally, you will have done the first two levels of courses (Course 01: Philosophy of Culture and Course 02: Normativity & Experience). If that turns out to be difficult, at least the first one would be a prerequisite.

Rs 25,000/- for a 3 month programme
